Canadian electronic producer Aschka aka Debbie Lo made her first
appearances in her adoptive country Belgium, where she played live at
various locations and later held a residency at the local downtown
hotspot Zebra. Now based in Berlin, her tracks have appeared on
de’fchild recordings and Firm, revealing a style which combines
harmony and melodies with experimental sounds. She became a core
member of Berlin’s Gabom [girlsandboysonmusic] collective at its
inception in 2010 and has since continued to produce and perform live.
Aschka’s collaboration with Jerome Sydenham “Daphne” was released last
year on Sydenham’s own label Ibadan. New tracks are set for release
with Sydenham as part of his exclusive series “Animal Social Club”, as
well as a new solo EP on de’fchild, “Moments do not endure” in October
2012.
